After the legislation that was passed in the USA known as the ( UIGEA Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act). on October Friday 13, 2006 ,the following US. States have either declared, or propose to declare, online gaming illegal for their residents:

  • Louisiana – considered a felony to gamble online
  • Michigan
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • South Dakota
  • Oregon
  • Washington – considered a felony to gamble online
  • Wisconsin
  • Utah

The goal of this bill is to prevent players from being able to fund there gaming account at gaming sites including but not limited to online casinos, poker rooms, sports books and online bingo sites.
